Title: Setting up Xlights. Help required

Hi

I am going to try to use Xlights so that I have a backup to the LSP scheduler. I am just after some advice on the xlights setup. I can convert the sequences fine (i think) with light elf but I can't get my head around the network setup.

My LSP setup is fairly simple. 3 Zones, all E1.31

Zone 1 is a ECG P12 and has 12 universes.
Zone 2 is Port 1 of an ECG D4, 1 universe.
Zone 3 is Port 2 of an ECG D4, 1 universe.

The main thing I don't understand is the "Last Channel" column. All my universes use unique channel numbers and none of them are 512 channels. For example universes 1 - 5 are all 450 channels with universe 2 starting at channel 451. Will I have to set all my universes to 512 channels to use Xlights?

"Last channel" in xLights should match the # of logical channels you defined in LSP for each universe.

Thanks Matt, that makes sense.  So it doesn't care if universe 6 is channels 8000 - 8450?
