What is the Lynx Aeon?

Ron,

I don't think it is for anything.  At least that we care about.

On another note, did you get your clock working?

n1ist:
It hasn't been discussed; that connector and the 100n cap next to it are unused in the current design.  Looking at the pinout, I see Vcc, GND, and one line to the PIC.  I'd guess either a radio module for setting the clock or some sort of an alarm, but that's just a guess.

RJ:
It is not current used. It is for a possible future upgrade on my clock.   ;D

Oh oh... lets see.... Seeing RJ's creativity and placement of the 8 pin....  I am guessing it is for a daughter board that will be mounted on the reverse side (like the power input) and will do a sound or chime on the hour?

So if i guess right do i get a beta PCB of said daughter board?   ;D

Great clock and conversation piece,  RJ....    <res.

PS:  when will the RGB led clock be coming out?

trekster:
You guys got it all wrong!  That connection is for his next project.  He is working on a FLUX CAPACITOR to make the clock work with time travel.   <yk..
