Found this when I went into the shed this morning......
5 flats of lights that had been neatly stacked up in the "attic"

Opps
Now Larry knows where I was last night
Sorry Dude
Were the lights too heavy for whatever they were sitting on?

There were stacked 5 high. The only thing I can guess is that being in the shed, (and 110% humidity at 97 deg) caused the light boxes on the bottom to loose their "form" under the wieght of the flats above them. and then down they come. I found several of the small boxes that the glue had totally let go.
Lesson learned.... if stacking for more than just a couple days........ stack no more than 2 high.

Guess I'll need to check/change my stack of 8. :o
-
Doh! I better check my stacks too!

If you can't keep care of your lights you have to give them to .... ME ...
the concern really being .... did any suffer terminal injuries ?
In my best Dad voice .. "maybe you will take better care of your things and put them away right."
Happy Fathers day ....

and to all you fathers out there...
I did not see any obvious damage to the strings. Will not know till I start to plug them in.. most of these were intended for projects (arches and megatree) so testing before hanging or wrapping is mandatory.

My wife has been bugging me to move my lights from the spare room to the shed. I have some ammo to resist for a while longer ;D

Why not just put a piece of plywood under the bottom box or wrap them in packing plastic?
