My daughter had an awards presentation today (she's in kindergarten) and as we were leaving I was commenting to my wife how troubling it was to me that we could just walk right into the school....then we see the news.

Truly a sad day...I have no words....My thoughts and prayers are with the victims.

my twins are in 6th grade. they have had the policy that you have to be buzzed in through a double door for the last 4 years.

One of my twins asked "why people hate us (school kids)?"

I am going to put up an animated candle at the start of my show. Just 1 minute and then run my normal show.

I dont want to force a conversation between parents and child, each parent will handle this their own way.

There are no words to describe the horror of this event. My prayers to all affected by this tragedy.

Rick,

I hope you don't mind, but I borrowed your pic and placed it on my Lodge and Fire Department sites as well.
