how to remove C9 sockets

ok what is the trick to removing sockets, I see thier is a lip on the inside that snaps in but how do you sqeeze it so you can remove it.

...with great difficulty!  I've never really been successful without causing some damage.  A very small straight screwdriver helps.  It's not easy to move the locking tab over and pull the bottom at the same time.  What is needed is a special tool that would move both locking tabs at the same time.
