can anyone tell me if this works with the lor software.

no it will not only in  vixen

Correct it will not work with LOR software. If you want to stay with LOR software you buy the IDMX unit from LOR and then you can run any of the Lynx controllers with it. Check out the wiki under LOR it has lots of good information.
