Great option for the donations! Have the boys over in the spring to help with the light organization :)

Very cool!

Your "end of the season plan" sounds a lot like mine :)  I told my wife I wanted cord reals for Christmas.  Here's to hoping!
Afraid of heights and I'm still always on the roof...

I've been seriously contemplating talking to the scoutmaster to see if any of the scouts have an interest in helping with setup next year.  About 98% of the work this year was all me, as the wife was busy taking care of our 5-month old.

Just when I get all stressed out and ready to give it all up, I'm reminded of the fact that there is an overwhelming amount of support in the community and that they really do enjoy seeing this show year after year.

Nothings more rewarding that a hand written note or a personal thanks from some stranger.

Great approach - My son is now a venturer. Those kids are awesome at helping out all year round. We sell Xmas trees in December on the weekends. Next season I'll have a few boys do a "remote" setup at the "tree store" and see if I can help them sell out in 2 weekend vs three.
