Configuring Pixelnet controller in LSP

This is how I have set up my channels, can someone tell me if I am doing this correctly in LSP. I have 8 rigid strips with 30 LEDs each for a total of 720 channels?
80 Channels LOR, 112 Channels Lynx Express
16 Channels MR16 with 5 Mighty Mini's
2 SmartString HUBs
LedTriks
5,000 LEDs lights, 50,000 incandescent lights, 3,600 RGBs
30 Strobes
15 Snow Lights

Set the controller type to "RGB Light Controller" and set the number of logical channels to 240.  It will multiple that by 3 and you'll have the 720 your expecting.
Then just make sure your channels assigned match those programmed into your corresponding SSC(s).  I'm assuming you programmed the SCC(s) in Node mode.

Here is an example of how I setup mine for my LedTricks II
I have 8 flexible strips, 960 nodes X 3 = 2,880 channels.

I have 8 flexible strips, 960 nodes X 3 = 2,880 channels.
I did switch to 240 channels (720 physical RGB channels)
But I do not have an ether dongle so I went with the Pixelnet controller
80 Channels LOR, 112 Channels Lynx Express
16 Channels MR16 with 5 Mighty Mini's
2 SmartString HUBs
LedTriks
5,000 LEDs lights, 50,000 incandescent lights, 3,600 RGBs
30 Strobes
15 Snow Lights

To get this to work for you,

As you have done, set up your controller for the 240 channels of Pixelnet.

You need to use a LYNX dongle programmed for PIxelnet.

You can either set each of your rigid strips on a single controller or you could have 1 Smartstring Controller for each.

To do this,

You need, 8 Smartstring Controllers, 1 Smartstring hub and 1 Lynx dongle and you need the smartstring configuration utility

build 8 smartstring controllers.

Start Number for controller 1 thru 8 would look like this

Controller 1 = 1
Controller 2 = 25
Controller 3 = 49
Controller 4 =  72
Controller 5  = 121
Controller 6 = 145
Controller 7 = 169
Controller 8 = 193

Configure each controller with as pixelnet and then you will simply have to choose which com port the lynx dongle is on that has the pixelnet firmware on.

When you create your controller is LSP follow this and you will be able to control each strip within the entire set

OR

Create 1 SS controller starting at 1 with 240 channels as a pixelnet controller in LSP.  Plug that into the smartstring hub.  Each Strip will have to be connected to the smartstring controller so that it will get both power and data.  It will automatically configure itself and then you will simply have to choose the com port that the lynx dongle which has the pixelnet firmware is on

I have a SSC on each rigid strip and all the hardware works perfectly. Verified with Vixen. LSP sees them when I use the hardware test, it just won't trigger them within a sequence when editing.

I don't think the channels above are correct for 8 separate rigid strip with 8 SSC's and 30 nodes on each. If I want to control each node shouldn't they be addressed like this:
SS Controller 1 = 1
SS Controller 2 = 91
SS Controller 3 = 181
SS Controller 4 =  271
SS Controller 5  = 361
SS Controller 6 = 451
SS Controller 7 = 541
SS Controller 8 = 631

Are you saying when you turn output on in LSP you are unable to control the lights?  Only works in test hardware?  Try an optimize your sequence first.  Right-click in Audio and select Maintenance tools, then select optimize entire sequence.  Also under Options / Configeration / System settings, check Perform Distributed Effect Optimization.

Do you have effects in timing mark number 1. If so insert a mark before your first effect and leave it blank, with no effect in it.

Looks like my problem was Norton. My 30 days free expired on my new PC and so I purchased the upgrade and the LSP issues have gone away.

Problem was not Norton. I've read everything I can find and can't get LSP to run with any consistency. Everything but Pixelnet runs perfectly in LOR sequencer and scheduler. But I can't get consistent output during sequencing or even running an optimized sequence in a show scheduler. Did the most recent upgrade and still no luck. Wish LOR support Pixelnet.

Had some luck with LOR and generic RGB controller channels on separate network and used xLights, but it appears LOR will only go up to 512 channels.

What level of LSP are you using?  Basic only supports 512 channels.

I am using LSP 2.0.11317.1750 and I have been able to output pixelnet to my SS Mega Tree.  It looks like your setting up your smart string controllers properly make sure you set the output plugin for Pixelnet to the correct dongle IRQ of your Pixelnet Dongle.  In may case it is COM7 (LSP likes COM ports lower than 10) with default settings checked.  When I did my sequencing of some previous sequences I added in my SS controllers then created a layer for my Mega tree which I added all the SS too. Then it was just a quest of adding in  parts from my old mega tree sequences.

What level of LSP are you using?  Basic only supports 512 channels.
I have 8192 Channel version
80 Channels LOR, 112 Channels Lynx Express
16 Channels MR16 with 5 Mighty Mini's

Thanks for the info, but where will I find the IRQ settings in Windows 7?
I've checked the com port settings.
COM3 is the LOR Dongle so I set it at 115200 8 bit no parity 1 stop bit no flow control
COM4 is Pixelnet dongle so I set it at 57600 8 bit no parity 1 stop bit no flow control

Let me know if this is incorrect
