Title: 2012C Bug
Post by: Dennis Cherry on November 26, 2012,
Helping a forum member out with errors in converting a sequence to XLights.

His setup includes separate LOR and DMX networks.

However in XLights mapping you cannot separate them in the LOR mapping.

The first network always has "LOR Regular & Universe 1" cannot change this format.

Setting up the second network for DMX you will get Mapping LOR Regular

Setting up the third network for LOR you get mapping LOR Regular.

Is there a way in the next release to be able to select any of the three ways to map?

LOR REG (or Aux. X) and DMX
LOR Only
DMX Only.

This is not a bug. You should set the LOR Mapping radio button to "Multi". In fact, the LOR Mapping button has been removed entirely from the next version - "Multi" will be built in and not selectable. In the mean time, if you set LOR Mapping to Multi and follow how each network gets mapped in the "LOR Mapping" column, you should be just fine.

So in my LOR channel config I shouldn't be using DMX and Universe 1 for the pixelnet stuff?  It should be LOR and Aux A?

Here's my XLights setup window:

And here's my LOR channel config: (The last few LOR controller channels and the beginning of pixelnet)

Pictures always help! Your pixelnet network can either be set up as an LOR network - Aux A, or as a DMX network - Univ 2. Based on the work you have already done, just changing Univ 1 to Univ 2 would probably be the fastest way to get going. Cheers,
