Title: using SPT1 wire
Post by: chrisatpsu on November 25, 2012,
I have two Aether II's connected to the same power supply. i have a short run on spt1 wire between the power supply terminals to the first aether II

I want to have a piece of spt1 wire also connected to the screw terminals of the power supply and run it to the 2nd aether II.
about how do you think i can get away with for the run on cable on the second aether II.

STP1 has more to do with the insulation thickness than anything else.  If you are only putting 1 Aether on it, I doubt that you are going to have any issue with it regardless of the length that you would probably use.

i was meaning more for the voltage drop

Voltage drop is based on current flow so as I said, one Aether will not pull enough current to cause enough of a voltage drop to effect it.  Also remember that if you are using an outdoor lighting transformer, the unloaded output voltage is way above 12V anyway so with only 2 units hanging on it, you should be good to go.

I have one 20 feet away from the transformer
