Flex strips up
« on: November 14, 2011, »
This weekend I started working on my flex strips and hung them from the peak of my roof line.  I am planning to wrap the controllers in black tape so they don't stand out so much.  I am hoping to have time this week to run all the cat5 connectors and test them lit up. Unfortunately, the weather is wet and cold and this weekend they predict snow.

That is going to look nice!

I'm not looking forward to putting up my first lights next year, tall 2 story house and I'm afraid of tall ladders...

That's going to look awesome!
I'm not afraid of ladders, but I am banned from them by my neurologist. Haven't been allowed to decorate higher than my gutter in years :(

Getting up there was not too bad.  I used two ladders.  One to get the first level and then another to get to the peek.  I wore a fall harness just in case and had a friend hold the ladder.
