Title: Profile Problems ???
Post by: gwright13 on December 10, 2009,
Hello All

I am actually not posting a problem but rater a discovery!

While editing a profile (started with 512 channels) I wanted to remove a channel because its damaged on the board so I opened the profile and then removed channel # 9.

Then when I tried to open it I would get an error and it would not open.

So through lots of pain and T/S I figured out that there must be a bug with removing a channel because when I manually added that channel back in the sequence would now open!

I experienced this problem in 2.1 and 2.5

TaDa - I hope this helps

That is because you are defining an array (for lack of a better term) for 512 positions and then you are removing one of the definitions that form the array.

it would be better (my guess) to Clear the Channel Events for the dead channel.  and then label it as a dead channel (include something to indicate which controller it is) so that at your leisure,  you can trouble shoot that controller.

This is one good reason to attempt to leave one or two channels free on each 16 channel controller.
