What: Nutcracker Tutorial:
When: Thursday, Nov 7th. 7pm MST (Denver Time) . 9pm EST, 6pm PST
Agenda:
We have a new developer added to Matt Brown, Frankr, Dave Pitts: Don Julien (djulien). Don has gone and did an extensive modification that will allow you to filter every slider and check box on the Nutcracker screen. This is going to change how you use the random effect generator. Now you can mark a block of your song, say 10 rows and have only those rows created with all spirals when random effects is clicked.
You can use this new feature to set every effect to teh same brightness level, say 66%.
You can use it to only select from a certain palette of colors and many more features.
Tune in this week if you want to see how this can help you create blocks of effects that are tied together.
I wanted to get Don's code out to all of you as i think it will help, i know i will be using it for my Christmas sequences.
I am now going back and continuing to work on the single strand effects.

here is a screen shot of the new 3.2.4 screen that show you can have random or locked next to each slider/click box. random looks like two blue arrows crossed, locked is the red padlock.

Plan to make it.. That single strand has been kick'n my bootty, so if there might be a couple of minutes at the end to do that from scratch and show it working for multiple arches, that would sure help me. From what I can tell on another thread, my setup is no different from others and some seem to make it work and others, like myself are stumped.
Which video should I look at about bringing some effects into LSP?

When will you make the new release available? I am ready to play with this new stuff.

Sean
It's not fair that you tell us about this new functionality and don't let us play with it before your presentation. :(
I agree with rdebolt >.d9

i would release it now, but single strand is not there. parallel development, merge branches and such. i am working to get single strand put back into 3.2.4. I could release 3.2.4 with the understanding for today that you can play with the new filtering but wont have single strand to kick around.

Quick question on the new release - did you guys fix up the window model bug (where the top/bottom nodes don't count in the channel count?) in this release?
Or perhaps the better question - is there a bugtracker for this project?

Wot no video Sean?

The bugtracker is using github, specifically https://github.com/smeighan/nutcracker/issues
(my issue, #63, may be very similar)

Thanks...I'll login and post it formally there.
Easy to recreate my issue....Preview Tab, Models, New Model, Display as Window Frame, change # of nodes Top (or bottom) from 1 to 2 and the channel count does not increment.
