Light storage
« on: January 06, 2013, »
I am wondering how those of you that have icicle lights store them. I currently just ball up my regular m5 lights and then put them in a tub, which works really well. The icicle lights pose a different problem. With all of the drops they don't ball up the same. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Ryan

I put each string in a plastic grocery bag. No pater what I always have to untangle them. I may mount them to pipe or something this year.

I gather them into a bundle like group with the light strings all parallel and use the extra lead wire to tie them off at the top of the bundle. They lay flat and next year they are already straight for hanging. It kinda looks like a huge white broccoli plant.  :)

I wind them up on a extension cord reel.

A couple of nails in my garage wall and tie the ends to the nails so they stay hung.
