For those of you that have located CorrosionX, can you share where you found it? I'm having a heck of a time finding it locally.

I ended up buying mine online because there wasn't a local distributor.

Ron,
Try Academy Sports & Outdoors. In the fishing Dept. about $7 for the small aerosol can.

Just out of curiosity, what is it that we need to protect from Corrosion? Controllers? Lights? Can someone fill me in?

People like to apply it to the circuit boards of their light controllers, splitters, etc to protect them from corrosion while still giving them the ability to make repairs easily. It also helps to keep the connectors free of water.

There's a demo on their website where they coat the insides of a television (tube type) and put it under water while still running...

Hey Ron, any luck? I haven't seen any on the north side of town (Spring/Woodlands area). Still the Academy in Tomball to check out if I can ever get the time!

Quick update and a question.
I found CorrosionX at Academy like Greg suggested, thanks Greg. Question on application. Do you just spray the whole board? Even down inside the RJ45 jacks?
Thanks.

Spray a light coating on it all. No need to soak it as the stuff will make a mess. It will work its way into everything and you do not need to worry about getting on connectors and stuff. Both sides of the pcbs. It will be come a waxy coating after a week or so.
