Nutcracker: New effect, tree
« on: December 13, 2012, »
My wife, Lilia, is from the Ukraine. I met her through the internet 15 years ago. She asked for a new effect to put to the Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky.

She wanted a tree that would have garlands put on it.

Happy wife, happy life.

New effect class is called tree,

That's very cool, again.

I was just thinking today that it would be cool to put a GIF of a Christmas tree on a Nutcracker half mega tree and see what it looks like. Just haven't had time to login and try.

Wanted to see what this would look like on a matrix, but it doesn't draw the garlands.   :(

garyh,

It draws garlands on my matrix.  Make sure you set the tree colors, the palette colors, and select "Y" to draw the garland.  The first color corresponds to the first garland color.  The tree color is the background color of the tree (typically a color of dark green).
