Any one Interested?
« on: March 07, 2010, »
The owner of the company I work for has become the distributor of these (see attached photos) LED stick lights. They are a battery powered (4 AA) 6volt DC 3 LED light. They are sold as patio, or camping path lights. They are 33" total length, with 15" of clear solid plastic reflectors. The diameter is 3/4". With a little reworking they could be modified to use the MR16 with 6volts. The photos do not show the colors very well but they come in a package of 4, Red, Green, Blue and a Clear. They also have a removable 4" pointed end that screws on. They are quite bright with new batteries and have over 40 hr battery life. If there is any interest I will find out how many he can get and the cost.

I wonder if they could be connected to the MR16 for power.

What would be the costs.

They sell for $60.00 plus shipping. Aprox weight is 9lb. Shipped from Olympia, Washington State. 98502
This is for a set of 4 ( Red,Blue, Clear and Green) in a heavy cloth case. Might be a little lighter without the batteries. (the batteries are not that good any way.)  I'm sure with a little modification an adaptor could be made to replace the batteries then run off a MR16 with 6volt.
