Viable Replacement???
« on: March 26, 2013, »
Hello All, This past December I failed to protect the switching power adapter pictured from a rain storm and my scrolling "tune to" LEDSONIC LED sign no longer works. Wondering if the one on the Ebay link would be a viable replacement???

Same output as original 5v 4a. Should work as long as the male end is the same, but you can get adapters for those.

Just be sure to test it with a voltmeter and a small load of some kind (a light bulb works well) before plugging in your display. There are a lot of power bricks out there that don't do a very good job with the voltage regulation...

Just wanted to let you guys know that I received the switching power adapter today and it works like a charm!!! I feel like I took the easy way out not trying to repair the old one, but in the end, it is one less headache or thing to worry about for my 2013 display. Thanks again, George
