Title: 330 ohm resistor fixed all my Smart String problems!!!
Post by: urthegman on August 19, 2011,
Wow! What a difference in performance on my flexible strips when I added a second 330 ohm resistor to the bottom of the board (two 330ohm resistors = one 165ohm resistor)! I will build the rest of my boards using the 150ohm resistor that is recommended in the Wiki.

Just what are some of the differences?  I built all mine with the 330 ohm.  I played with a test sequence with Vixen and the rectangle nodes did what they were supposed to.

Some of them would stop cycling at various times during a burn-in cycle using the test firmware. Mostly after 1 or 2 cycles.
