An Aether II only uses one Lense per light unlike the Original which took 6 lenses per light.

They are the:
FL model - Flood light which is 35 deg
NF model -  Narrow Flood which is 24 deg
SP model -  Spot which is 15 deg

You also can use no lens for the widest flood which will light a large area up.

3' away I get a bright 10-12' spread.  http://diylightanimation.com/index.php?topic=7008.0 (ftp://diylightanimation.com/index.php?topic=7008.0)  Bet you can get 20-25' at 6' away or so but less bright but doable.

This may help with angle of lenses, to gauge on the rough throw of light.

Pretty sure the led is 120 deg and the case wont affect or limit it.
