Title: Plugging in to same outlet
Post by: bking85295 on November 18, 2011,
Is it normal/ acceptable to plug the 2 power cords (feeding into the LE) into the 2 sockets on the same outlet?

Greetings,,,

No problem as long as you're within the power limits of the socket/circuit you're plugged into.

I have a large selection of triple taps.  Buy a few extras when they are on sale.

I started out that way, then decided to just remove the right hand power cord and run an spt2 jumper wire from the left side with the input cord to the right side without the input cord.  Just watch the polarity of the connections of the jumper wire - hot to hot and neutral to neutral.  I use the jumper wire so that the second cord could easily be added if the LE were repurposed with different lights or sold off in the future.  There is nothing I like about permanently soldering a jumper wire between the two sides.
