Here is what I did.
At 11:05 AM I went into xscheduler and created a playlist that was to start at 11:15AM. I checked "Run Schedule", saved and exited the program.
I put the xscheduler shortcut in the Start Menu.
I turned my computer off / on. By 11:10 the computer was running again. Xscheduler did start when the computer rebooted. However, at 11:15 the playlist did not start.
After the scheduled start time (i.e. 11:20) I check the "Run Schedule" box and the playlist starts!!!!
I am using the xlights 2011b software that was recently released. I have not tried this on earlier versions of xlights.
It appears that xscheduler is not remembering it needs to run the schedule. Is there something that needs to added to the command line to execute a schedule on start-up?
I may be missing something but I believe I have done everything correctly.
In theory this restarting is not needed if power stays up 24/7 but we all know Murphy's Law as it applies to this.
Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining, I really like xlights and Matt did a great job. The automatic re-start is a nice feature that from my reading was in earlier versions of xlights.
