Argh!

I just found out that the heavy duty power supply I was planning on using for my RGB strips and strings and lynx ssc's is actually 16v. Will the extra 4v do kill my lights or hurt the SSCs or active hub?

From what I've read on this forum I don't think you should try to run it with the extra voltage. I believe RJ responded to a post like this and said it might work but you'll probably burn it out and it will fail.
I don't know if there's an option to get a step down transformer of some sorts to change it from 16V to 12v.
:-)

I have a 24vdc power supply that had an adjustment screw. To my surprise, it will dial down the voltage to 12vdc.
Probably not very efficient, but it works. Check for a small adjustment screw. Usually very small.

Thanks for the replies. I've already located an alternate.
