Has anyone had any miscounts with the other items, or just the smart string nodes?
-
I only had 19 of the square 5050 rgb modules on a string that was supposed to be 20.
-
I only ordered two items, sixteen 75 node strings and two lots of 10 pieces of the waterproof connectors female/male pairs. Seven of the strings had exactly 75 nodes. Three of the strings had 76 nodes (not bad), which balances the 74 nodes on three of the strings. Two strings with 73 nodes and one string with 70 nodes. I got 20 of the female connectors and only 19 of the male.
Someone in the plant either does not know how to count or does not care how many actually are put in. I talked to Ray Wu via chat (not really sure if it was him or just someone posing as him) and he promised to send me the missing nodes. Under normal circumstances that would be unacceptable. I ordered 75 node strings and I did not receive receive what I ordered, but since I was going to cut them down to 70 each, then the separate 8 nodes is ok this time.
He promised to make it better in the future. So far not good, but not entirely bad either. I have no way of testing the nodes to make sure they are working. I could have 75 node strings with 20 bad nodes, but I will not know until we get the ssr's and hubs. Unless I could get the firmware and rig something up on my protoboard (RJ?) just to test the nodes.

Other than the wiring on the plastic rectangles being wrong - the only other issue I have had that the 128 node string only had 127 nodes.
-
I just checked and all my 5050 modules ... and they ALL had 20 per pack. That was like about 10 packs and included square, rect and non-ss rect 5050 4wire modules.
I did find the the 128 SS Node string had only 127 Nodes in it. I'll let that one slide.

Ray has shipped my shorted nodes (sent tracking #). Have to say he has been very easy to deal with and always responds to my e-mails.

I received notification yesterday that he had shipped my 69 total missing nodes. I can actually track it on DHL so I think he did. The only other problem that I saw (since we can't test the lights yet) is that one node was completely defective. It looked like it had all of the electronics but it had no outer casing at all. I will have to replace that one for sure. It would not last long outside.

I was 11 nodes short. Ray asked if he could ship the 11 nodes with my next order or send a refund to my paypal account. I took the refund. He is very responsive and seems to be a standup guy.

I hope they are all 50 nodes, but I'm guessing that one or two might be a 49'r.
There may be another reason to order 50's instead of 128's ... since same price ....
free wire (on ends) and maybe its easier to count to 50 than 128 ?!! lol

Got notice of a DHL shipping tracking number for my replacement nodes and the missing connector. The tracking noted that the package has been picked up. 8 days on the counter, so the package should be here before the counter runs out.

Still nothing for me and 2 weeks left on the counter. I'll give him to the end of the week and if still nothing, will probably cancel the order.
-
I still have not ordered anything, waiting to see how it all goes for all of you. <yk..

Mine shipped out with about 2 days left on the countdown. I got everything about 3 days later.
