SSC to active Hub help
« on: June 15, 2013, »
Hello everyone. I got my active hubs in yesterday and they are all soldered up and ready to go  <;d (thanks for the coop! one step closer). I already have a few SSC V2 and have also set them up with the pic3 (I know they work in test mode). question I have is the about the cable that goes from the active hub to the SSC as I don't have the RJ45 pigtails yet. I want to make sure I got it right.  from the hub the RJ45 with the tab on top and starting from left to right i have pin
1) white/orange
2) orange
3) white/blue
4) blue
5) white/green
6) green
7) white/brown
8 ) brown

and on the SSC I have
white/orange = data 1
orange = data 2
white/blue,blue,white/green = power
green,white/brown,brown = ground

is this right? <pop..
Thanks
Ralph

Your RJ45 wiring is incorrect.

1. OR\WT
2. OR
3. GR\WT
4. BL
5. BL\WT
6. GR
7. BN\WT
8. BN

SSC=

The conductors go in this order starting at the pad mark #1 on the left to the right.

1 - White with Orange Stripe
2 - Orange
3 (Positive)
White with Blue Stripe
Blue
White with Green Stripe
4 (Ground)
Green
White with Brown Stripe
Brown

The wiki has all of this information in it. I recommend looking through it.

Hope this helps
