Here's the scenario. I want to use SPT wire for my main power supply to my Express.

1 string of lights per channel = 9.6 watts or .08 amp

The power cord length will not exceed 100ft. Would you guys feel ok with using SPT wire for this. I would also like to run just 1 wire and use a jumper. Thanks for the help!

Yes even the smaller spt will handle this load with no issue. that s if the numbers you are giving is correct. .08 * 16 channels = 1.28 amps, they heavy spt can handle 10 amps I believe is the rating.

Thanks RJ. That number is what is on Creative Displays site as the current draw per string of lights. Thanks for the help!
