We would do the weekend and leave the week before or after for the rest of your vacations. although you know it is hard to find something to do in orlando Florida.   :)

Mid April to mid June would be good.  That way you avoid some heat and most of the crowds

things to do in Florida??

...... thinking.... thinking......

oh wait!

(had an nose itch)

......   I know something totally different and WAY over budget..

DLA Cruise (my vote and I'll put in tbone321's vote - Allure of the Sea) LOL

what else???

I know Walt Disney World - only been there 7 times and can't wait go back there.

Seems like last time we were taking May (first 3 weeks) before the heat and spring breaks/High school senior weeks

Ok, IF you want the families to come you need to be when school is out.  That's late June.  Spring break had 5x as many people as normal when I was there in April.

You think Carnival would let us decorate the boat?  That would be a definite Youtube moment  <pop..

I believe that the first step will be to set a date and I believe that is really up to you RJ.  If you have multiple possibilities then you might want to set up a vote to see which one is the best for most of the members.  The sooner a date is set, the easier it will be for members to make arrangements to get their.  It will also make it easier to get people to help if they have the time needed to make sure that they can get there and to set up what they are going to teach.
If at first you don't succeed,

I go to as many minis/meetups as I can based on how close they are or if it would make a nice little trip for my wife and I.  There are usually meets in the Chicago area, central Indiana, Ohio, Texas, Tenn, Colorado, Florida, Washington State and others.  I would not limit my thoughts to just one location or one group.  I've learned stuff and made new friends from all of them.  You may have to visit other forums to find them, but many have been mentioned here in the past.
