RJ that was the first clear answer you have given on this.  I think I understood it before I just couldn't wrap my head around it.  The examples you gave really cemented it in for me...which hadn't happened before.

I'm good to go now!  Just waiting on my controllers and strings!!

+1  ME too.  Thanks, me now understand  ;)

OK, so now the hardware is clicking...  But I can't even fathom how some of you guys plan to run multiple universes in vixen.

No emoticon for "I am not worthy"   ;D

Sam, who is happy he flashed his etherdongle with newest firmware!

Ok, Vixen shouldn't be too hard to work...

you'd setup a new sequence like you're making a new song.

you get to the plugins part, and add the Pixelnet Dongle, and set it for the com port, and whatever channels (1-4096) if you were using that many channels.

to add the 2nd dongle, you just add another Pixelnet Dongle, and set it for it's com port (different than the other one), and whatever channels you were gonna use on that one. (the channel count will start with the channel after the last count of the first dongle, so the 2nd dongle would control 4097+, if you set the 1st dongle to use all 4096 channels)

and just repeat for whatever other dongles you have.

 <la..

That's what I meant.  It just blows my mind we're talking about 4-8k channels.

A few years ago, I worked a broadcast and was amaised at the 10 universes of lighting control from a $60,000  Grand Ma controller.

Just think, now I have more channels and control from $300 worth of hardware....

Thanks RJ and everyone who makes this soo much fun !! <res.
