Title: My show cancel - UNcanceled
Post by: rrowan on December 20, 2009,
Well just about all of my lights are now buried under snow (ice?).

No reason to have colorful snow.

So the wife and I decided to shut it down until the snow melts. I hope I can run a show for Christmas Eve.

Rick R.

Hi Folks

Just a quick update. I removed some snow and packed the rest down. Now my lights are visible but the roof is still covered. I can live with that. :D

Cheers

That sucks,  seems like a tough year for a lot of folks.  I hope everything is OK!

Rick

My first thought was
"Oh the looks so nice, i would love that"

then i started to realise just how deep it is, those blizzards have been big from everything i'm hearing.

Sorry you can't run the display it looks like it is really nice.

I'd be tempted just to turn it on anyway, even a custom sequence or even static sequence with only the parts that are out of the snow.

Cheers and best wishes

Hi Phil

It really hurts not having the lights on. We had about 2 feet of snow last night and with snow drifts and clean up today its just ugly out there now. I have a few lights not covered. What is covered is my 16 micro trees, candy canes, rope light Santa and sled and train. The two arches are 3/4 buried and 90% of the electronics is under the snow. Of course I could light up the windows, icicles, lights wrap around the posts and the top of the blown molds.

I attached a before the snow shot.

Cheers

The snow is beautiful though, Rick.  I'm sure it'll melt enough before Christmas Eve to get those lights back on.  Good luck!

Glade to hear you are back on.

Maybe RJ can build a snow blower in the LE V5 for you. But I don't think I would use it here in southern California.

Now let's see some blinky and put a smile on everyone's face.

Thanks guys,

As luck would have it. Santa rode (fire trucks, float) around tonight and gave me two reindeers up for the lights. He gave my son a candy cane but only coal for me :(

Not sure if I told anybody but the two videos that I posted on dla in another post is also on youtube.
