The DMX stream put out by that adapter depends too much on the serial port and timing within windows. The occasional glitches in timming cause glitches in the lights...
The Enttec DMX Pro adapter and the Lynx Dongle both generate the DMX protocol using an internal processor chip, providing a more stable DMX stream.
