well Sean.. we are getting closer of my problem ( chanel issue) as i figure out x light will not let me play with more than 1 controler thanks to the new version ,,,,here is the error it give me when i play a model starting at the univer 13 ( chanel 6100 +)
"one or more osf the model define chanel beyond what is containe in the sequence. verify your chanel numberand/or resave the sequence "

that error means one of your models went past channel 10,200.
please past your xlights_rgbeffects.xml file so we can see how you defined the models.

if i create a new model and stay below 6000 chanel ( 12 universe its all worki as soo as i go to the 13 univer it fail ,,, and i am only using 1 model in the preview ,,,,

hello Sean i am getting closer to trouble shoot my error
doing some testing ,, i notice that i got the error only if i pass the 1740 chanel .. at 1738 chanel its working ..if i add 1 more pixel and voila i got the error ,, so around the 1740 chanel its bug ... any idea ?? what is wrong in my setting ?? i even deleted all the set up and redo it with only 4 unuverse and same thing .. chanel 1740 + give me error

Sean was looking for you to post up your xlights_rgbeffects.xml file so he can look at the setup.
The file sits in your documents\Xlights folder

Not sure if this is any thing big but if you look at the E131 set up verses Lor mapping universe 18 is used twice in the E131 set up so it goes 18 18 19 and in lor mapping it goes 18 19 20

i dont see or find any file with the xlights_rgbeffects.xml anywhere i even did a search on the pc

Not sure if this is any thing big but if you look at the E131 set up verses Lor mapping universe 18 is used twice in the E131 set up so it goes 18 18 19 and in lor mapping it goes 18 19 20

xlights_rgbeffects.xml will be in your show directory (displayed in the Setup tab). Based on the screen shot you posted, that would be:

thank sean for helping figure out what went wrong on my setting...... it is in the window frame model ...it does not calculate the number of pixel/chanel properly therefore making it a error ..i have been at it for a long time ( since august ) and we just figure it out ..thanks again ...maybe in a later version it can be fix ...cherr

I figured that out last week and dropped it in a different post!! I just ended up putting 435 lights on the roof with 4 controllers and when I saw the channel count wasn't clocking up properly I saw the issue too. I've been reluctant right now to spend too much time on my garage peak and roof top sequencing because I saw Sean had some big plans on adding some single strand effects and these will really be awesome on my display!! I am thinking about going the custom model approach just to figure out the best way to work those xml files as I think Steve or someone else pointed to a few weeks back....but i'm big time into getting my physical build done right now so I don't mind waiting another week or two to see where the new features/classes in xlights go to. Glad you were able to figure this out!!
