Title: Error on Local install using GIF

Getting this error on local install trying to use a gif file.

Looks like you have never uploaded an animated gif to the local install.  They do not copy down from the web.

I thought that I had. I can open an already made gif effect and I have all of my gifs there, but when I try to start a new one that is the error that get.

if it is a lcoal install, just go and view the gifs directory

in my case
c:\xampp\htdocs\nutcracker\effects\gifs\2

substitute the 2 for your member_id. Now you can see the gifs that nutcracker has access
to

Does that mean we could just copy gifs directly into that directory or is there some index that is built when using the "gif upload" procedure?

Nope, i just list whatever is in that directory. I copy gifs there using ftp programs all the time. There is no database indexes for your gifs. Just put them there and you will see them
