Title: My town is selling off the christmas light display
Post by: chrisatpsu on December 18, 2014,

only 1 bid of $500.

I think they mentioned all the items are worth over $75,000    but that's "government" pricing.

It's not exactly the same blinky as here. But some of you are into this stuff.

Why buy the cow?

Our local city show does not do pixels, does your town?

They likely cannot compete against your pixelated free show. :)

It's kind of sad.  We had a large park that was decorated with this kind of stuff from businesses and the year after we had our first animated display go live the activity in that display died and it closed.  The city itself has been decorating and adding LED's each year lately and it's getting better from and adult standpoint.  I'm not sure the kids get much out of static lights on a tree however.

Well Chris, since you didn't get the ETD due to the coop being canceled, why don't you buy this display?

well here is the problem >>>>>cost about $85,000 to operate the Festival of Lights and the show generated $40,000 from gate admissions...so to spend 85 g on a display they must have used the old incan that used so much power ,,,,
