what are you using to run RGB pixels?

If anyone is running RGB pixel LED's, what are you using?  Anyone use the E16, or TP3244, or LOR or...........

Yes did you see RJ's videos? His megatree this year was all done with SS and rgb nodes.

Those are nodes like on the smart string just made to be sold commerical so they are expensive. You would need to check their site but I think the nodes run around $2 a piece. Just too expensive for me. They do have complete packages and is something you should look into. You will need there hardware to drive them also. They also require power injection every 42 nodes unless it has changed since they were released.

Still 42, and yes expensive.  One thing interesting.  He is using ethernet.

Yes, I ran 270 6803-based rgb nodes (in waterproof strips) this year, controlled by 3 TP3244's. I'm considering replacing them with the pixelnet based light strips RJ showed in one of the videos.
