Title: Aether II - Heatsink to Case mounting
Post by: inzeos on November 12, 2011,
What size hole should be drilled to mount the heatsink into contact w/ the case?  Is it intended to use the short stubby sheet metal screws to connect them?  May seem obvious; however, it is not in the manual yet.

The short stubby screws seemed too short... especially since the heat sink was frabricated with a thicker material than RJ spec'd.

So, I found another machine screw and a drill bit that was the size of the shank but smaller than the thread.  I drilled through the casing and the heat sink.  I only used one screw to fasten it together... but use more if you are inclined.

i used the short stubby ones.  it does say the size somewhere in there.  The short stubby ones just barley made it through the heatsink, but they made it.

Thats the way it is suppost to be so you do not have points sticking out in to the housing to hurt yourself on.
