Ok, the next effect has come on line.
Scrolling text looks best when you have more strands on the tree. This is why i will be building a half megtree to get as many strands at an economic price.
There is now a new option on all effects, "Show frame". If you answer yes, there will be a gray outline of your target model drawn. I find it easier to use this when designing the first effects. I then turn this off to see what the tree will look like at night.

Sean,
You are continually plugging away at this. It is very much appreciated by all, my hats off to you. I spent hours just playing with the tool, now I got to try this out. Thanks. <res.

Thanks!
Play with the topPixel value.
If this is 1, then your text starts at the very top of your tree.
My text matrix is 6x9. So every 9 rows, the next line of text starts. So if you have a 40 pixel stand, you could start at pixel 22 and just have your 2 lines of text fit.
As you go down the tree, the deformity of the letters increases. I am not sure what it the best setting.
thanks
