I have a dongle with the update pixel firmware one computer runs vista the other runs xp on vista it works fine but on xp it does not work at all I switch com ports but it all ways stays the same port number any help thanks

i think mine was set for 57600, or the next one up (115200?)

you might try disabling and removing the existing com driver, and installing the FTDI driver.

the current driver is later than that described in the wiki. 2.08.14

Correct Baud rate with the Lynx Dongle is 115200 either DMX or Pixelnet. Because RJ designed a dongle that uses it's own processor instead of your computers it can support the high baud rates between the computer and itself.

Yes. The PC is sending out the same data to the dongle so the comm rate is the same.

I thought Pixelnet was 1M baudrate?

The baud rate is ignored with the USB module it sends data as fast as it can over the usb port. It just needs this since it fakes a standard port for software to see.
