Title: DSC Lights
Post by: rrowan on October 03, 2012,
Hi Folks

For anybody that has order any type of lights for the DSC (and it works with the DSC) from any supplier.

Can you post the links here for what you ordered. So I can add them to the wiki. I only have one link so for, 100 string nodes from Ray Wu

Thanks

Rick R.

These were recommended on an LOR FB board ... are these what you used Chris?

Scratch this post if these don't actually work with a DSC.  I have a question on on whether they are 4 wire and common anode (+).

For the price (and free shipping) I'd try these myself.

Watch your IP ratings, they should not say waterproof as most are not.

Here is table, first number is the left column second number is the right column.

I think that what he wants you to say is that they MUST be common anode strngs to work with the DSC.   Common cathode strings (rare but do exist) will not light up at all.

But, I was looking for links so folks can find the lights easier.  I understand the difference between common anode or common cathode (I did go to electronics school)

I'm sure that you do but does everyone else in here?  I was just sayiing that Chris was making the point that regardless of where you order them from, they need to be common anode strings.

i was making a point that a lot of us get them from ebay (to take advantage of a low price with free shipping)
but, that ebay links will expire. so what may be good today, might be gone tomorrow.
