This COOP will be for the Lynx Freestyle and the Lynx SSR4.
As with any Co-Op this Co-Op is subject to the forum rules. These rules can be reviewed using the following link.

Here is what is available in this COOP
Kit 1 - Lynx FreeStyle Parts Kit (No PCB)
Kit 2 - Lynx FreeStyle PCB
Kit 3 - Lynx SSR4 Parts Kit (No PCB)
Kit 4 - Lynx SSR4 DMX Option Parts (No PCB)
Kit 5 - Lynx SSR4 PCB
NOTE: The PCB's are a separate ordered item. This allows people who already have PCB's just to get parts kits.
This Coop will close on Feburary 22 2009 or if it is filled sooner it will be closed at that time. It could also be extended in quantities for good pricing are not meet.
Once the COOP is closed I will send each member a PM with the details of their order and what payment is due. Full Payment is expected when the coop is closed since orders can be made until all members have paid. I will work the shipping as I have done in the past and will bill for that when it is ready. This will allow me to get you the cheapest shipping rate I can. If it gets to be more then the Flat Rate boxes then I will use a Flat Rate box.
By joining this Co-Op you also agree that the Co-Op manager, DLA (as a board to also include all administrators, moderators, and members) shall not be held for any liability. You are joining this Co-Op at your own risk.
I am not going to include the cases in this COOP since it would be easier and cheaper for each individual member to order the cases they need directly. There is not a real big savings plus once a big enough order is placed then the cases need to be truck freighted for delivery and the delivery costs are real expensive. The International members if they need the cases I can work with you to help you get them.
OK now for the pricing details. On the Lynx FreeStyle we need to make a minimum of 25 parts kits to get the good price breaks.

Also just to clarify the kits and what is in them.
Kit 1 is the parts to build a Lynx Freestyle and it does not include the PCB.
Kit 2 is just the PCB for a Lynx Freestyle
Kit 3 is just the parts for a Lynx SSR4 which would build a complete SSR4 that would be usable with a Lynx Freestyle. This kit does not include a PCB.
Kit 4 is the parts needed to add the DMX controller option to the SSR4. To have all the parts for a SSR4 with a DMX controller you will need Kit 3 and Kit 4 if you already have the PCB. If you need the PCB also you will need to order Kit 5.
Kit 5 is the PCB for the Lynx SSR4.
So with these explanations for each kit please double check your order to make sure it is correct.

The totals are getting to the point where this COOP is going to close soon. I still need 4 more Kit 1 orders though to get us to 25 order so we can get a good price on them. If we don't make the 25 level the price would go up by 7 dollars. That is still a decent price compared to buy just one individual parts kit but getting to the 25 level would be even better.
Right now we are at the following totals.
Kit 1 - 21
Kit 2 - 19
Kit 3 - 379
Kit 4 - 106
Kit 5 - 393
The price of the Kit 3 parts will not really go down much if at all since the next price point I have calculated is at the 500 level and the price change from 250 to 500 is just 34 cents. The 250 mark is the good mark for SSR4 parts.
I will update the 2 message with each individual user parts orders later today.

Yes. The "standard" parts make it work with a controller only (Freestyle). If you want it to be both an SSR and a controller you need both parts kits.

The second message in this thread has been updated with all the order totals. We need two more Kit 1 orders and then this COOP will be closed.
Please check you individual order to make sure it is correct. The quantities in the second message is what I will be ordering so if I have any mistakes in there please let me know.
Here are the kit descriptions again.
Kit 1 - Parts kit only for a Lynx Freestyle (DOES NOT INCLUDE CIRCUIT BOARD)
Kit 2 - Circuit Board for Lynx FreeStyle.
Kit 3 - Parts kit for a SSR4 (DOES NOT INCLUDE CIRCUIT BOARD)
Kit 4 - DMX Options parts kit that can be added to Kit 3 to make a complete SSR4 unit with DMX controller (NO CIRCUIT BOARD)
Kit 5 - Lynx SSR4 Circuit Board.
To build a SSR4 to be used with a Lynx FreeStyle you need 1 Kit 3 and 1 Kit 5.
To build a stand along SSR4 with the DMX controller on board you need 1 Kit 3, 1 Kit 4 and 1 Kit 5.

I have just received a PM from someone that will order 2 more Kit 1's to get us to the 25 quantity for the better price. So at this time I am setting a closing time of 7PM tomorrow night (Sunday Feb 1st) for the COOP. Hello Everyone,
I just noticed that I have the wrong price listed for the SSR4 Parts Kit only. I have it listed at $7.17 and it should have been $8.17. The final actual cost with the extra quantity will be $7.94. If anyone wants to change there quantity please let me know. I am sorry for my mistake.

I have about half the invoices sent out so far. I am using the PayPal invoicing this time. It should help me track the payments easier. Right now the forums are acting up and I can not access the user email addresses. Once this is working again I will work on getting the rest of the invoices sent out.
Just a note for anyone who has not been part of a COOP I have run. The name that shows up on my PayPal account is Golfcom Tour Services. This paypal account is from when I used to run a website. So when you see that don't worry it is me.

For those who haven't paid yet:
When you make your payment in Paypal, there is a box to add comments, but you have to scroll down to see it, and it's not very obvious. Please try to find it and enter your user name.

Sorry for my lack of updates. I did not realize it had been so long since I posted. The PCB's are ordered and should be here in roughly two weeks. The parts are also ordered. I have had to look around to cover a few back orders and we will still have a few parts that will be late. Parts should start arriving sometime next week.

All Mouser orders have arrived. Just waiting on a DigiKey order. There are some backorders that will affect some orders. The one big item that is backordered is the RJ45 jacks. Not all of them just part of them. I do not expect it to take long to come in since they have a short lead time. The items I ordered from DigiKey are items that have long lead times at Mouser but DigiKey had them in stock.
I will start shipping some orders later this week. This will go out in the order the orders were recieved.

30 Lbs of PCB's are headed your way Todd. Just sent them out USPS flat rate. I think even with insurance on them we got our money out of that poor flat rate box (615 SSR4 PCB's and 23 FS PCB's). They threaten to open it at the Post Office to see how I got that much weight in it! LOL

For International shipments that is true but for domestic shipments there is no weight limit.

I got the boards today. Some of the transformers for the FreeStyle Kits are backordered along with some RJ45 jacks. I will be starting to sort parts this weekend and will start shipping from the top of the list down this weekend. It will take at least a week to get through all the orders.

Another Update.
I have started sorting parts. Not as far along as I wanted to be due to some other interrupts but some packages will start shipping this week. The one part that is still on back order is the RJ45 jacks. I am trying to find out when Mouser will get some more back in. If it is going to take too long then I will try to find another source to get them.

I am making good progress sorting all these parts. The last of the backorders will be here Tuesday. The last part I am waiting for is a large quantity of the RJ45 jacks. I will start shipping orders later this week. I did miss my target of getting some packages shipped this weekend but once they start shipping it should go quick.

Well good news is I do have all of the parts in now. I did not get near as much sorting done this weekend as I had planned. My truck decided to leave me stranded Saturday with the girls. I had to work Saturday and today working on it so I would be able to get fixed for work. At least so far it does not look to be a major problem. It started out looking like the transmission gave out and ended up being an oil line to the transmission cooler had popped off. It took a little while to find this problem. I am going to take a day off work this week to get back some time that was lost this weekend.

Just noticed I made a mistake on my guarantee date. It should have said by 5/11. One of my interrupts ends tomorrow and I plan to send the rest of this week finishing off this COOP.

Well 1/2 will be going out tomorrow. Did not get as far as I thought. The only thing I have left is to put together the Anti static parts for the rest of the packages. I will be working on it each night until complete. I know I have done a horrible job on getting this one out in a timely manner. I am just real glad it is early in the year and this was not a last minute order.

I don't know.. I have 2 more LEs coming too and another 2 in the 4th co-op plus all the wireless stuff. One thing is for sure though, the soldering smoke is gonna be thick on the southside of Atlanta ;)

I just received my shipment.
WOW! It must have been quite a job to sort out all those parts (48 ssr4s).
I have just a little soldering ahead of me!
For the newbies out there. JM2C
If you have never been involved in a DIY assembly project before then you could easily be overwhelmed with the additional work you need to do. You should first pull up the WIKI manual for your particular unit and fully understand how to assemble it. This understanding will guide you as you look through the kitted parts.
If you have ordered multiple units of the same product the parts come sorted by item type and not kitted on a per unit basis.
If you get overwhelmed just post a question about what to do next or PM RJ. Everone here should be open to helping one another.
Todd did a very good job on kitting such a large order like mine. Thanks for putting this coop together. I hope your personal problems have smothed themselves out.
Update: Sorted out 48 base kits with NO missing parts. Excelent.
BTW Todd even sorted the DMX parts from the base kit of parts.

A mistake in the FreeStyle Kits that have been sent out so far has been brought to my attention. I have left out 1 capacitors from the bags of parts. The list I packaged the parts from had the quantity wrong but the BOM I have in Mouser had the correct quantity. I have the parts here so on the kits I have sent out already I will be sending each of you an envelope with a capacitor in it. The kits that are still here I will fix them.

I got all of the mailing info out of PayPal and have most of the rest of the packages ready to do. I will be shipping some this Saturday again finally. I am making progress but just not enough to even satisfy myself.

I am also wondering when I might receive my goods. I have had no email or bill for shipping as yet (unless I have missed it..!!??). I am a very patient person and fully appreciate that these coops are not easy to organise and that delays happen for a number of reasons, but a few more update posts would be helpful. This is the first time I have been involved in a COOP and I imagined things would happen a little quicker than this.
Is there any more news that might indicate when the items will be shipped.
Any news would be appreciated...

I talked with todd yesterday and he says currently just shy of 2/3's of the stuff is out. He has the rest sorted and was working last night to pack some up. He expects to ship a load out Saturday.
So a number of those still with out should get some by the end of next week. I will update you with what I find out.
