Title: 2012 first RGB element
Post by: therealbigjim on January 02, 2013,
Thanks to RJ I have my first RGB element in my Christmas show. The Coro Flake has 30 dumb nodes, 5 dmx 3 channel controllers, connected by a Lynx dongle to S3. I know some people are tired of Wizards in Winter but it was one of two that I did with the Coro Flake this year and still one of my favorites.

Great job.

Love your Coro Flake.

Wow, huge front yard. You have a lot of great stuff going on in it and it is awesome to watch.

What are the stars on your mini-trees?

The stars are made from 1/4" round stock and bent into angles and welded. The small stars are too small for rope light so I used incans with clips.

They look great.....need something for my mini-trees and those might be just the ticket!

What about your letters for Merry Christmas.....Love the way they add to the sequencing.

Did you buy the Coro flake from Holiday coro or make your own? I want to make 16 for next year on my roof.

The Snow flake is the one sold by Holiday Coro. The Merry Christmas letters are coro with 200 incan lights in each letter. I went to a sign shop and cleaned out all of their scrap and misprint signs, this was the 4th year in service. My plans this year include making the Merry Christmas RGB in the same type of construction as the coro flake.

I added a picture of one of my letters. I only painted the front but probably should have gotten new paint, the old miss print bleed through.

Thank you. One last link. I took a close up of the Coro flake and was going to splice in cut-a-ways in the first clip but I could not figure it out with the video software I have (Roxio 2012). <fp.
Anyways.....
