This COOP is for the Panther DMX Player

Please read this post completely before participating in this Coop.

In an effort to make this, the first Panther DMX Player, Coop a success and give as many members as possible a chance to participate in it quantities will be limited to either 2 #1 Kits or 2 #2 Kits or 1 of each per member, unless we do not reach 100 units. So please post the # you want and I do my best to get you what you requested.
 
This Coop will be limited to 100 Units.

To keep this coop forum clean and easy to follow, please post any question on the Panther forum.

This coop will have 6 different offerings. The manual, B.O.M., etc, may be found here (http://diylightanimation.com/index.php?topic=11481.0) in the Panther Forum.

This project is described here (http://diylightanimation.com/index.php?board=53.0) in the Panther Forum.

While the ATMEL Chips will be programmed for this coop, I recommend you get a programmer and convert for yourself, should you need to reprogram the chip for any reason. You can find a link in the Panther Forum here (http://diylightanimation.com/index.php?topic=11744.0).

Kit #1 – Panther DMX Player Complete Kit. This kit will include everything you need to get your Panther up and running. From the PCB, Parts (Programmed Chipped), SD Card (Loaded Test Sequences), Mouser Power Adapter, and Machined Poly Case.
In 50-Units quantities, the cost will be $43.03

Kit #2 – Panther DMX Player PCB with Parts. Does not include a SD Card, Power Adapter, or Case
In 50-Units quantities, the cost will be $16.31

Kit #3 – Panther Case without cutouts. Pattern PDF is located in Panther forum.
In 50-piece quantities, the cost will be $4.46

Kit #4 – Panther Case with cutouts. This is just the Panther Case to house the PCB with all cutouts except for the trigger hole as triggers are not required. If you want 1 case with cutouts only post this kit #3.
The cost will be the cost of the case 4.46 + 3.18 for the machined cutouts for a total of $7.64.

Kit #5 – SD Card.
I have tested several types of SD Card without any issues. However, Members have asked me to make available one that I know works so here you go. This is a 8gig class 4 SD Card from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Class-Flash-Memory-SDSDB-008G-AFFP/dp/B007JRB0TC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1382799127&sr=8-1&keywords=8+gig+sd+card).
The cost will be $9.65
 
Kit #6 – Mouser Power Adapter.
In 50-piece quantities, the cost will be $9.43. Mouser Part # 553-WDU9-1000 (http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Triad-Magnetics/WDU9-1000/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMuep2RzTrr6lccq0CMBbsaxUn5S6W7YlmQ%3d)
 
Ebay Power Adapter.
I have test and used these too power adapters off eBay and recommend that if you need one that you order it directly from the eBay seller to avoid additional charges of Coop Fee and Pay Pal Fee. Plus if it fails on you later you can work directly with the seller.  They are under $3.50. Here (http://www.ebay.com/itm/AC-100V-240V-DC-9V-1A-Converter-Adapter-Power-Supply-US-/160683710681?pt=US_Server_Power_Supplies&hash=item25697ed8d9) is a link to one like I use.

Pricing includes PayPal 3% and Coop 3% fees.  As always, higher numbers reduce pricing and lower numbers increase pricing.  Change your order as you wish during the ordering portion of the Coop by placing a new post do not edit your previous posts, but please make sure I can tell what you are changing.  Please check the order list that follows to make sure I don't miss your order or any changes as the Coop continues.

The coop will run until Nov 9th 2013 at 8:00 pm E.S.T. or until we hit 100 kits.

US shipping will be in regular USPS flat rate boxes. 2 Complete kits #1 will fit in a small box.

By joining this Coop you also agree that the Coop manager, DLA (as a board to also include all administrators, moderators, and members) shall not be held for any liability.  You are joining this Coop at your own risk.

As with any Coop this Coop is subject to the forum rules.  These rules can be reviewed using the following Forum Coop rules (http://diylightanimation.com/index.php?topic=111.0)

Post in this thread the number you want of the 4 items available. You will get a pm when the coop closes letting you know how to pay for your coop items. Once I receive all times in and they are ready for shipment you will receive another PM letting you know the Shipping Charges.

Is it ok if we send $1.28 for kit one and two that was in error in a separate paypal?  I want to pay for the kit in full.  I don't want you to have to pay for part of my kit.  That is not right!  I owe you $2.56!

I started ordering parts last week as orders were coming in. Here is the current status.

Parts

PCB's Ordered Today.
SD Cards - Ordered Today.
SD Card Modules - I have received them, verified all of them are working, resealed Anti-Static bags.
Cases - I have received them and have machined all the cutouts. Verified accuracy of each with my built Panther.
Mouser Parts - There are several items on back order with a couple of months lead time needed, I am look for find alternative source with a similar pricing.
Shipping supplies have arrived.

FYI, Back ordered items are 553-WDU9-1000 (Power Adapter), 556-ATMEGA328P-PU (Microcontroller CHIP), 163-7620E-E (DC Power Connector). These are mouser part numbers.

Ordered Remaining Parts from Mouser there is a 15 week back order for the DC power Connector. I will continue to look else where for these and the ATMEL Chip ad provide an update weekly so sooner if anything changes.

I have the already ordered the Wall Mart from another source the main issue is "DC power Connector" 163-7620E-E

I do not want to order from to many different suppliers unless the price per unit equals out as it would drive up the cost with all the shipping charges unless there is no tax which there is with mouser for me here in Texas. I so apericate the help so if you find the DC Power Connector then please let me know.

Mouser Expects to ship the Power Connectors 163-7620E-E on December 19. and the ATMEGA Chip on Jan 14th. As December 19 approaches if they have not changed the expected ship date of the Chip I will look for another source. That is if I cannot find another source that will get the power connectors to me any sooner until the 19th. I continue to search each day and see if anyone gets any in before then.

Received the supplies that Mouser had in stock today, Still waiting on the back orderd items.

Received the Power Adapters from the secondary supplier, however they are bigger then expected, it will be next to impossible to fix into a small flat rate box but I do what I can. They came in 4 large boxes, surprising shipping was not to expensive.

Still Waiting on the SD Cards, and PCB's.

I start sorting what I have this week.

Frozen in, so I have been sorting the components that I have. All that we are waiting on is the 2 back ordered items from Mouser. I have loaded the SD cards with the test sequences. I have also tested each SD Card Reader Module and resealed them in there antistatic bags.

The Green Led is in the anti static bag. Mouser shipped them in one so I shipped them to everyone in the same type of bag.
