Title: windows 8 compatibility issues with vixen??

I am looking to get a new laptop to run my show as I have a laptop with windows Vista and the compatibility issues are horrendous.  But it is hard now to find anything with Windows 7 on it anymore.  Everything has windows 8 on it now.  Does anyone else have any laptop or pc with windows 8 and are there any compatilibity issues with vixen?  I have asked this same question for nutcracker users as well.

I ran my Christmas Show last year and my current Halloween show, both having over 6,000 channels, using Vixen 2.1 on a Toshiba laptop with an i7 processor running Windows 8 and have had no problems.  I didn't have major problems with my old Vista machine until the added pixels which slowed it down to a crawl.  By the way, I'm also very happy with the way Nutcracker runs on the Toshiba.

Perfect!  I was actually looking I think maybe at that same Toshiba.  The i7 processor, 8g ram With upgradeable to 32g, windows 8, etc etc... Didn't look like a bad machine!
