I had one aether that worked 50/50 for a long time. Never could figure it out. One pigtail worked the other was wonky: worked but was mostly white. Anyhow, since I needed to daisy chain dmx for it I needed it to work. A few hours later, I finally traced it back to a simple bad pigtail... The bad pigtail is not good at all. I can imagine since it lit up and kinda worked it could lead some weird folks thinking other things. If you are having an issue with an aether, I suggest trying the test firmware then check the pigtails. Thought this might help someone.
