Title: Single message selection feature request
Post by: travailen on December 19, 2013,
I have an introduction text effect that runs a message on my mega tree. The sequence is about 45 seconds long. I use the speed slider to try to have the message run once completely during the sequence time but I can never get it right. Checking the fit to time box does not help. I would like to see a repeat select box added to the text effect like the one on the curtain. Then if the box is not checked the text message would run only once.

Thanks,

Rick S

I think your on to something here.  What would be really useful is to have a very limited set (say 10 or less) of re-usable chunks of text (the two line pairs say).

Then you can put that re-usable chunks of text as variables (?) to the text effect say.

WHat I've found is that with say a "tune to" sign on the matrix ... would be nice to put it one place, then re-use like crazy.  Then if you ended up needing to change it, then also change one place.  I know you would need some way to regenerate the .xseq afterwards to reflect the text changes for affected .xseq files.

The best bet to help with what you want is to just add spaces after your string e.g. "this is a test            "
All those extra spaces will prevent the wrap from happening for a while giving you the chance to dial-in the timing with the speed slider.

The other request can be considered for next year.
