Post by: DanHouston on January 08, 2014,
Anyone putting something on the screws that go through the case or not a concern for water penetration?

I wasn't concerned. Two years still no issues with mine. But if your worried you can just dab on WAP clear silicon (used for windows)

I've used them in all my old LOR controllers without problems in Colorado.  On the LE cases I've drilled small holes through the exterior mounting "feet" and just fed wire through those holes and it was just as easy to attach to things (stands, display items, fences) and no need for a screwdriver in the case.

i  have screws in some of the 16 units -- some with 4, some with just a single screw, and many with no screws at all.

I don't even drill holes. Just used self-tapping sheet metal screws right through the case and into the heat sink. Have even torn a couple back down and reseated the self-tapping screws again. No problems with moisture in FL rains.
