Since I'm not going to be able to score a ether dongle this year, I've flashed my two USB dongles with Pixelnet firmware. My goal for this year is to have a number of elements that won't change (if I can help it) from year to year. When I get a ether dongle next year, I would like to make it as simple as possible so here is my question.
Do I need to, or should I be figuring out how to program one dongle in Pixelnet Universe 1 and the second in Universe 2 (4097+)? I don't have a combiner so I'll be running an extra ethernet cable, which I'm ok with. Just trying to stick with the KISS principle.

There is no "programming" the USB dongle for universe X. Each USB dongle forms its own universe and it how you assign it in the sequencing software determines which "universe" it is operating in.
