Title: not connecting
Post by: duane.mosley on November 28, 2014,
with the exception of having to edit the time on a few songs, this conductor ran rock solid last year once the audio was synced right. pulled it off the shelf tonight to test for this years show and this is what I did.

1. reformat cf card  and load this years songs and audio( .seq  .ogg)
2. programed the pic with the latest firmware  v72
3. created a show  .sho
4. created a schedule  .sch
5. created a password   password.dat
6. verified all files were on the cf card
7. ejected cf card
8. insert into the conductor and nothing
9. took toothpick ascross cf pins and nothing.

playlist.dat
.sch
.sho
.ogg
.seq

those files are on the cf card and nothing is showing. I am going to try the v69 firmware tomorrow. anything that I am missing? I can't see it if so.

"nothing" doesn't provide us with much to work with.

Does the Lynx conductor control panel software connect to the conductor or do you get an error what is the status?
Is the time sync?
If no errors can you manually play a show?
The show, schedule, ogg, seg, files are using 8 characters for the name with no special symbols?

nothing meaning it is not connecting. this unit worked last year and went on and off when it was supposed to. I installed v72 firmware this year and it has not connected at all.

V3 control panel
flashed with etherdongle firmware to confirm it works the lights, and it does just fine
flashed with v69 firmware to see if maybe v72 had been corrupted on download still not connecting(v69 was on my pc from last year and worked fine)
used a toothpick, while the cf card was in it's socket and verified all pins were connected fine and no solder bridges(which it worked last year so I didn't think that was the problem but checked any way)
the clock syncs with the computer just fine, battery reads 3.012v
I also disconnected myself from my wireless network.

the files on the card are as listed:

amazgrac.ogg
amazgrac.seq
test.sch
test.sho
playlist.dat
password.dat

I have been threw just about every trouble shooting issue I can think of. I originally had cf socket pin issues in the beginning and all of that was fixed and it was working last year. I did however have an issue with some songs being out of sync so I adjusted the audio in audacity last year in order for things to work properly. due to that issue, instead of just plugging it in this year and seeing if it was still working, I installed the new firmware v72, and here we are again, not connecting.

connected the conductor to my lap top and it is connecting just fine. must be a firewall issue on my show pc.

Where did you find the v72 firmware?  I thought 69 was the latest.  I am oping a new firmware will help with my timing issue.

Thanks,
-Keith

Make sure that your firewall is configured to allow multicast transmission.
