Title: Panther as a SSC Programmer
Post by: TexasStingray on November 20, 2015,
I have a co-worker who is starting his first year of light no sound. He is using the Panther to send the signal (PixelNet). As the firmware is not looking for triggers it just reads and send file after file after file from the SHOW.TXT. It also reads a NUMCHALS.TXT file to see how long each set of signals are up to 4096. It also reads a DELAY file that is used to delay between each set.

Anyways, he does not have a USB Dongle or an Ether Dongle, so the firmware also looks for a PROGRAM.TXT file. The file contains the setting to program the controller (Start Channel, Direction, # Nodes, etc) this way he is able to program his controller with only using the Panther. If he wants to change the controller he just edits the PROGRAM.TXT fle then reprograms the controller with the Panther

Just thought I would share.

Anyone interested in testing a firmware for the Panther to program SSC V3, you'll need one of the programmers to flash the new hex file. And if you have V4 or a Zeus I'll try and get it working for them also.
