Title: Anyway to test PIC chips?
Post by: lonewolf41 on December 25, 2016,
I had 3 dumb string controllers that seemed to get corrupted PIC's yesterday (of all days  <md..) anyway, I could replace the pic with one loaded with test firmware and it worked.  I could put the old pic back in and load it with test FW and it would work, but when I loaded the regular FW, it would not work.  It seems like the pic is partially working...maybe able to output OK, but maybe not getting input signals or something. Is there a way to test a PIC to make sure it is not bad?

TIA,
-Keith
