Greetings,,,

This Coop will be for parts for the Lynx FreeStyle, the FreeStyle pcb, the Lynx SSR4, the SSR4 DMX option, and the SSR4 pcb.

The manuals, boms, etc, may be found in the wiki: http://diylightanimation.com/wiki/index.php?title=Equipment .

No kits will include the cases as it is just as cost effective for the users to order them.

By joining this Coop you also agree that the Coop manager, DLA (as a board to also include all administrators, moderators, and members) shall not be held for any liability. You are joining this Coop at your own risk.

As with any Coop this Coop is subject to the forum rules. These rules can be reviewed using the following link.

This Coop will close on Mar 15th 2010 at 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. Once the Coop is closed I will send each member a PM with the details of their order and what payment is due. Full payment is expected when the coop is closed since orders can not be made until all members have paid. Please get your Paypal payments in as soon as you get the Coop invoice PM. Please insure you Paypal address info is up to date. Shipping will be by the flat rate boxes and will be determined as soon as individuals' orders are known and which size boxes are needed.

Here are the pricing details at initial ordering amounts. Pricing includes Paypal 3% and Coop 3% fees. As always higher numbers reduce pricing and lower numbers increase pricing. Change your order as you wish during the ordering portion of the Coop, but please make sure I can tell which kits you are changing and desired numbers. Please check the order list that follows to make sure I don't miss your order or any changes as the Coop continues and at the end of ordering.

A question was PMed. Remember, info is in the wiki, but you need Kits 3, 4, and 5 to have a separate DMX controlled SSR4, or just Kits 3 and 5 to have one that the FreeStyle can control. And you need Kit 1 and 2 to have a FreeStyle unit.

I really don't want to start trouble and am fairly new to this myself but is there a reason why this coop has to be this complicated? Kit's one and two are fairly straight foward although it would be much more straight foward to just combine them. The real issue that I see a problem with is kits 3 and 4. If you need kit 3 to make kit 4 work, then why are they seperate? Kit 3 should be just the SSR components and kit 4 should be the full SSR with DMX capability and both should include the board. I may be wrong but I see what looks like a few incorrect orders already.

Well you really are wrong, in a sense.

Some people just need the parts for their boards which they got last year. At the same time, some people have all the parts and just need the PCBs. Also, if you want the DMX option you need more parts so it is just easier to do it this way.

Keith is just running this the way people have done it in the past.

I'll be glad to discuss this further after this post, but please start another thread. This will help me keep things straight on just orders here. This takes into account the way some people have been ordering things here in the past, as has been mentioned. There is no trouble, we just want people to have the option to order only what they want, and not have to buy things they may already have and not need.

In between Coops, especially right after Christmas time, there may be a temporary outage of available pcbs for certain controllers. We never know until a Coop, what people will want, and can't stock everything all the time. Anyone who needs some variation of the FS or SSR4 can get it now, near the beginning of the year, when they will have enough time to decide what they want to do. We always have people, some new, some with changed plans, who may not be able to get everything the last week or two before the seasonal rush, etc.

It's very straight forward to offer a pcb option on each, for those who want to try something they never have, or who have bought some extra parts, waiting for pcbs to become available. There are only 5 kits. I already made one edit to the initial post, but I tend to think people can figure it out. Or they can ask questions, as you did. Nothing wrong with questions. But the Coop Managers have to think of all the different ideas that people bring up, and then we have to make a decision on what to offer on each Coop. I believed the current setup of this one is the best at this time, at least for me to offer all 5 kit options, as has been done in the past. Others might run a Coop differently. We are always looking for others who meet the requirements to jump into the Coop fray. :-)

There are always a few people who change quantities in a Coop. One reason we run them for several weeks. Anyone has plenty of time to read these messages. If you have this question, probably a few others do also. Please start a new thread and I'll try to answer, or have someone else who knows more than me do so. :-)

Semi-weekly status update:

Please note the added info on the first message in the thread on shipping insurance. I left that out on first post.

A few minor changes to the bom listing:

The 1/8th watt resistors will be 1/4 watt instead. Something we meant to do a while back and hadn't changed on everything yet.

Any of the ic sockets that can be changed to the ones with the hooked/crooked tail pins, such as on the latest Express Coop, will be updated. The 6 pin sockets have no crooked pin version. This should make the build a little easier.

I've checked with RJ to insure any backorders can be filled asap with equivalent parts. We appear to be ok with that at the moment. So no apparent issues at the moment. PM if any questions, or start a new thread.

No cost changes due to any of this. Just tweaking as we go to make everything work the best for all the members.

Remember March 15, 8pm, this time zone, is the close. I hope to turn around order final costs asap for you after that. Thank you for continuing to state your orders easy enough for me to figure out. ;D

Mine arrived today in France with a BAD surprise, but happy end for moment....

Postman saw taxes were due for Customs on a stick on the Box, but he didn't found the formulars attached with him on his formular sheet for distribution and signature , so I signed and he gave me the box.

In fact, the documents where added by French customs in a an additional stick bag. So i save $98 for taxes and customs.

Conclusion : next time for Coops, the declared value outside USA for the contents needs to go under $50 to avoid customs, this is how it works...

So, maybe it can helps, foreign users outside USA...

Remember : declaration under $50...

Other way, fantastic... thanks again to make me the possibility to be part of your members and have the benefits...

Mouser: that's cool as they offered free shipment and take in charge too the customs for an amount over $100 of components and cherry on the cake : 4 days max delivery to France via FEDEX.

I used Mouser since few months and always the same: perfect...

For Coops, i will need only from now to send the instructions to the sender to avoid these crazy taxes and customs charges. France is no soo cool than that regarding import products.
